There are no “domestic reasons” not to lower the interest rate, says Nordea’s (market price Nordea) chief economist Annika Winsth fixed.

She emphasizes that the burden that the stressed households have had to bear must be eased.

On Tuesday, the head of the Riksbank flagged Erik Thedéen that inflation is moving in the right direction, but that higher interest rates in the rest of the world could affect the krona.

However, Winsth dismisses this as an argument.

The investors seem to agree with her that now is the time for lower interest rates.

According to SEB’s latest survey, a majority of them believe that it will happen when the next interest rate decision is made in two weeks, writes Privata Affärer.
