A woman worked as a nurse in Region Jämtland Härjedalen for almost 20 years – without identification, reports SVT Nyheter Jämtland.
The woman was reported to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo) last year after suspicions arose that she had used drugs classified as narcotics. The region also reported the woman to the police and she resigned herself.
It was in connection with Ivo’s investigation that it was discovered that the woman was not in the National Board of Health and Welfare’s register for certified healthcare personnel.
– We only knew that she had a degree, says Anders Bylander, HR strategist within the region, to SVT.
Today, you cannot be employed if you do not have identification, according to Bylander.
No one should have been harmed by the woman’s lack of identification, writes SVT.
