The relationship was secret, but Magnus Heien Haugstad was there when Princess Ingrid Alexandra celebrated her 18th birthday in Oslo last year.

After that, it wasn’t long before Se och Hör could confirm that Ingrid Alexandra had found love – and that it was that Magnus who was captured in the picture at the party who was her boyfriend.

Since then, they have been seen more and more together. Recently, they were at the Christiania Theater to witness the premiere of “A Doll’s House 2”, which can still be seen as a kind of receipt that the relationship is really moving forward.

Now Ingrid Alexandra and dear Magnus have taken another step in their relationship. Se och Hör can reveal that he moved into the princess’ residence in central Oslo and became a royal cohabitant.

Ingrid Alexandra moved from Skaugum, where Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit live, in October and has since had a 40 square meter den in which she can wander around.

The couple has also been seen walking in the area and enjoying a coffee at a cafe just a stone’s throw from the apartment.

The royal house expert Trond Norén Isaksen, who initially did not think it was smart to make Ingrid Alexandra and Magnus’ relationship public, has now changed his mind and says this about the princess’ cohabitation:

– The fact that a member of the royal family becomes a cohabitant is, in my opinion, of general interest – both because it shows that the relationship is serious and because a cohabitation in Norway today is practically the same as a marriage, he says to Se och Hör and points out that there is an important difference:

– Royal cohabitation and royal marriage are not quite the same, as a marriage requires the king’s permission if inheritance rights are to be maintained and any children are to inherit, and a marriage carries an official role that a cohabitation does not.
