The Riven is the first to collaborate with the Artists’ Board regarding a studio residency at Fascination Street Studios

Stockholm-based The Riven is stepping into Örebro’s Fascination Street Studio this week to record their next album. The collaboration between Region Örebro County, the Artists’ Association and Fascination Street Studios will contribute to strengthening the regional music scene.

The studio, where Jens Bogren is in charge, is one of Northern Europe’s best studios in its genre and is internationally recognized in the genre with many world artists as guests.

– It feels good that we are underway and can finally welcome the first band to our county. This is a way to strengthen artistic development within the music genre and put our region on the map nationally and internationally, says Isak Bergström, development leader in the music field at Region Örebro County and one of the initiators behind the project.

– Being able to come to such a nice studio feels like a crazy cool thing. We are both grateful and excited about the opportunity to work concentratedly with rock music during these weeks, says Elias Jonsson, drummer in The Riven.

– Thanks to the experience we get from the collaboration, we will be able to draw conclusions for continued development work and upcoming residencies for a wide range of music genres, both regionally and nationally, concludes Isak Bergström.

Facts

Fascinaion Street Studio has previously been visited by bands such as Opeth, Witchcraft and Sepultura, all legendary in their genre, where they recorded records.
The Riven consists of Charlotta Ekebergh (vocals), Arnau Diaz (guitar), Joakim Sandegård (guitar), Elias Jonsson (drums) and Max Ternebring (bass). The Riven are inspired by the 70s and 80s and offer rock’n roll for the 21st century. Since their inception in 2016, they have released an EP and two full-length albums, “The Riven” and “Peace & Conflict”. On the tours in Europe, they have also shared the stage with acts such as Siena Root, Night, Fates Warning.
The next band to visit the studio via the collaboration is called Speedway and they are coming in May.
