Eurovision was once a European copy of the Italian San Remo festival. Italy’s music festival is a huge event in the country and this year’s winner Angelina Mango is one of the early favorites to win the whole Eurovision.

Her song “La Noia” is praised in unison by Sydsvenskan’s experts.

– I say “yes!” Italian as a singing language is fantastic. It is difficult to sit still, says Albin Arrling.

Israel’s participation in Eurovision has been much debated for political reasons. But musically speaking, Eden Golan’s “Hurricane” is not an impressive contribution, think Lee Strandberg and Albin Arrling.

The song gets the lowest score of all the songs in the episode. But how protest and sympathy votes for Israel will affect the competition is hard to say.

– It is one thing to vote for a contribution. But to vote against, how will it be done? You can’t downvote a grant, says Lee Strandberg.
