The wings of the roof of the classic Parisian cabaret Moulin Rouge have collapsed.
According to the AFP news agency, the wings of the building must have fallen to the ground for an unknown reason during the night of Thursday. In pictures from the Montmartre district, the huge steel structure is squatted on the ground in front of the nightclub.
Several of the Moulin Rouge sign’s letters have also tumbled onto the street below.
No one was injured in the crash.
The entertainment establishment in the 18th arrondissement of Paris was founded in 1889 by Spanish entrepreneur Joseph Oller.
