“Home and away” actor Orpheus Pledger was caught on film wrestling a woman to the ground and stomping on her head.
Now he has been arrested after a three-day police manhunt.
Orpheus Pledge30, was due to appear in court in Melbourne on Tuesday but never appeared.
On Thursday, the Australian actor was arrested by police, writes News.com.au.
He is suspected of assault after being caught on film dragging a woman to the ground and stomping on her head.
Left the hospital
The video was released by the court in Melbourne on Tuesday after the actor fled just minutes before the trial was due to start. Earlier in the day, he had been taken from custody to a hospital to undergo a psychiatric examination but then left.
The assault occurred on March 25 and the woman is said to have received cuts on her cheek and bruises on her forehead, neck and hand. She also had footprints of Orpheus Pledger’s foot on her face. The woman alerted the police on the phone and was heard saying during the conversation that “he is coming” before it was cut off.

Afraid of being killed
In questioning, she then said that she believes that sooner or later the actor will kill her.
Orpheus Pledger played Mason Morgan in the Australian TV series “Home and away” between 2016 and 2019 and has also had roles in the cult soap “Neighbours” and the drama series “McLeod’s Daughters”.
