“Being with you all the way is important to us at Elda and that’s exactly what these heroes are – through thick and thin, through thick and thin. This year’s flame should shine a light on those in the team who are not always seen or heard, but who is always there,” says Jonas Svensson, CEO Elda.
The “Flame of the Year” is awarded to the person whose contributions are fundamental to our community. The appointment is for the one who goes the extra mile without seeking attention, the one who stands behind the scenes and ensures that everything runs smoothly. Although they themselves may think that their work goes unnoticed, it is their efforts that keep us all going. Without our invisible heroes, we do not exist.
We are now asking you to help us think about which people in our community exemplify these qualities and then nominate them for “Flame of the Year”. Tell us who you consider to be the one who goes the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly, even when no one is looking. Give us a brief rationale as to why that particular person deserves to be recognized and celebrated as “2024 Flame of the Year”.
Together, let’s recognize and celebrate those who may not seek attention, but whose contributions are invaluable to our community. The deadline for nominations is August 9, 2024. The winner of Åre’s flame will be announced in autumn 2024.
The prize is SEK 10,000, with half of the prize money going to the winner’s association and half going to the winner.
