Princess Sofia’s “new” tiara revealed – the news about the jewels | Swedish Women’s Magazine

Topped off the tiara with new jewels.

And this time, she has glammed it up with stones that are at least slightly reminiscent of Queen Silvia’s famous sapphires in color.

Compared to the priceless Leuchtenberg sapphires – which are considered among the best in the world – Sofia’s dark blue topping is, however, a budget version.

It was at this week’s gala dinner for the President of Finland that we got to see 39-year-old Sofia glide through the castle’s White Sea ballroom in her midnight blue Oscar de la Renta dress. Which made everyone’s eyes turn to her head.

Princess Sofia has made it something of a (luxurious) sport to match the tiara with the dress, when she has the opportunity. And sure enough – at the top of the nine brilliant leaves it shone in deep blue.

Speculation started immediately, but initiated royal fashion expert Sarah Williams and her site Ufonomore were able to quickly give us the answer:

– We can confirm that Princess Sofia’s tiara was adorned with London blue topazes, writes Ufonomore on Instagram. Which are topazes that have an extra deep blue color.

So after the emeralds, turquoises, pearls and the yellow and light blue stones, Sofia now also has topazes in dark blue. She can also choose to wear the tiara bare, that is, without any extra sprinkles at all.

But Sofia had more surprises in store for Tuesday: On her finger was also a mammoth cocktail ring, with a large stone in the same deep blue color.

According to Ufonomore, the ring comes from Amanda Weibull and her LWL Jewelery – a jeweler who has created jewelery for Princess Sofia several times before. Among other things, this necklace with more than 1,600 natural oriental pearls held together by small delicate stays in white gold:
