41-year-old Sophia Bush, known from the cult series “One tree hill”, separated from ex-husband Grant Hughes in October last year. After the breakup, she was supported by a group of close friends.
Among them was former soccer star Ashlyn Harris, 38, who also recently went through a divorce.
After a while, Sophia Bush realized that the friendship had grown into something more. They were both seen at a dinner.
“That dinner was four and a half hours long and truly one of the most surreal experiences of my life, writes Bush in Glamor and adds that it’s a feeling she will “hold on to, no matter what happens after this.”
“Been pure lies”
At the same time, she hits back at those who criticized and spread rumors about the couple.
“It has been pure lies. Violent threats. People said I left my ex because I suddenly wanted to be with a woman”, she writes.
Coming out shouldn’t really be necessary in 2024, reasons Sophia Bush in the text, but still she now wants to do just that. She addresses the over LGBTQ-hostile bills that have been presented in the United States during the past year.
“For that reason, I want to give the coming out process the respect it deserves. I have experienced so much safety, respect and love in the queer community, as an ally throughout my life, that when I came out to myself I realized I was home“, she says.
