Since mid-March, Christian Karlberg has been the hotel manager of Quality Hotel Ekoxen. He will strengthen the community, build bridges between departments and enhance the conference experience for the hotel’s guests.
– It feels fantastic to be here, after just one day it felt like I had come home. I have extensive experience in the hotel industry and taking care of conferences and conference guests is one of my strongest areas. The guests will have an even better experience than before, he says.

The hotel’s 13 conference rooms are available on all days and times of the year. The rooms vary in size and can be used for corporate events as well as private parties and other events.
– The rooms can be adapted based on the guests’ needs and wishes. The smallest rooms hold five to six people and work well as boardrooms, the largest holds around 150 people. One of the rooms can be divided into two sections, then it is possible to change the distribution of tables and chairs to, for example, group seating or islands, says Christian.

After booking via phone, email or website, a conference planner takes over and makes a detailed plan for the visitors’ arrival.
– The conference planner adjusts the applicable furniture, technology, equipment, times for coffee, lunch, food deviations, room allocation and other practical details.
– It is very important that it gets right, that everything the guests asked for is correct. That planning is extremely important for a successful conference. The people who work with this are incredibly talented, they work with conferences all day and have a good eye for detail, says Jacob Corlin, Hotel Director.

Once there, a conference host or hostess receives the guests, shows the premises and goes through the program once more to check that everything is correct.
– They are always available to assist with help and check that everything is working as it should. Reception is important, guests should feel cared for. And we are good at that, many lift our staff up and appreciate the treatment they receive here, says Christian.

During a conference stay, it is mainly the meeting that is in focus. Jacob believes that many times it is at least as important with the meetings that take place outside the conference premises, as in the lounge, the bar or during a dinner.
– By staying in different and more relaxing environments for a longer period of time, you get to know each other in a different way. It benefits both the individual and the company. The participants can create stronger bonds and that opportunity strengthens the company culture.
– We offer one, two and three-course meals in our restaurant and can adapt the menu according to special needs. In addition, it is possible to have separate dinner parties outside the restaurant premises if desired. If you want to stay after a conference, we have over 200 rooms available, says Jacob Corlin.
