After working at the law firm Cederquist for over 20 years, where he was a partner, board member, head of the banking and finance group and also MP, Johan Lundberg is now launching RE:FI STHLM, Sweden’s first and only specialist agency in financing.
Johan Lundberg is a well-known name in the financial industry. Over the years, he has handled numerous PE acquisitions, public bid financings, real estate acquisitions, construction loans, project financings and distressed loans. Johan Lundberg has a strong network in the Nordics, London and New York and works for all leading banks operating in Sweden. Now he is starting his own firm and the team from the start includes Sebastian Karlsson and Joachim Strand, both former colleagues and experienced lawyers, as well as Svante Hultqvist, one of Sweden’s most experienced lawyers in the field. And more new employees are on the way.
– Together with the experienced team at RE:FI STHLM, I will do the same thing as I have done for the past 20 years, that is, assist with legal advice to lenders and borrowers regarding high-quality financing assignments. We aim to be the first choice for all financial legal matters and to help both lenders and borrowers navigate complex financial matters and make loans happen. In recent years, Johan Lundberg has been noticed by the prestigious ranking institute Chambers Europe, where in 2024 he is appointed Tier 1 in Banking & Finance and Tier 2 in Restructuring. In addition to banks and financial institutions, his clients also include many of the largest companies in the industrial and real estate industry.
