Mårten Skogö has children at Vasa School and sits as a representative in the reference group for guardians. He is positive about the municipality’s review of the school investigation, while at the same time he sees problems with local costs.

– We have a rent that has followed inflation, while the school fees have fallen significantly behind, and it will be a challenge, he says.

– Now there is transparency, says Astri von Arbin Ahlander, who has children at Ekeby School and participated in the torchlight procession against the school cuts last autumn.

There is a big question that the new investigation will answer.

– How can we meet declining student numbers in the best possible way? says Johannes Pålsson, who is new to his post as director of education in Danderyd.

The municipality has had three dialogue meetings with the reference group, but there is still some time left until any results are published. Only on June 17 will the investigation be completed and presented to the politicians. But there is no date yet for when a final decision on the structure of the school will be made.

The school investigation is a sensitive issue in the municipality. The goal is for the result to be communicated better this time, even if not everyone agrees with what the investigation comes to.

– You understand the basis on which the decisions were made and that is important, says Johannes Pålsson.
