Olof Philipson, who has been part of Gatun Arkitekter since 2006, is now appointed as the new CEO, succeeding Ari Leinonen, who will continue to work in the company.

Gatun Arkitekter is an architectural office with assignments in offices, housing, energy, public environments and urban planning, which has been housed in Södermalm in Stockholm since 1996. Now the company’s board, with Siv Malmgren as chairman, has appointed Olof Philipson as the new CEO.

Olof Philipson has been active in Gatun Arkitekter since 2006, as a partner since 2013 and as vice president since a year ago. As a responsible architect, he is behind several large office projects, including Kista NOD, Sthlm 04 and Bahnhof Elementica. He has also been involved in urban development projects such as the Slakthus area and Sickla Wood City. As vice president and head of development, Olof has developed Gatun’s work with design, quality and sustainability.

– It is with pride that I step into the role of CEO. Gatun is a unique company with an incredible breadth and competent employees who place great value in creating beautiful architecture with people at the center, says Olof Philipson, incoming CEO of Gatun Arkitekter in a comment.

Olof Gatun takes over as CEO on April 24, 2024 and replaces Ari Leinonen, who has led the company since 2010. In connection with this, time is freed up for Ari to continue leading and developing larger customer assignments.
