Think about the refurbishment of Lugnet’s playground

In order for the playground to be as good as possible, we want to know what is important to you when you visit the place. Have your say through our citizen’s budget, where you as a Stockholm resident get to decide how the place is designed.

The Lugnet playground in Västertorp is worn and in need of renovation. Now in the spring of 2024, we want to hear your views about the playground – and this autumn you can vote on the proposal that you want us to implement.

There are a few things to keep in mind when submitting your ideas and suggestions:

The proposals should be about the playground and things that you think need to be there.
As many children as possible should be able to use the playground.
Upgrading the entire playground may cost a maximum of SEK 2 million.
The playground must not involve too many changes in the landscape.
The splash dam is being upgraded in a separate project during 2025–2026.

You can fill in and submit your views in the survey until June 2. All answers, views and ideas are then reviewed and form the basis for the further planning of the refurbishment.

Important dates to keep track of

There are a few dates you need to keep an eye on:

Saturday on the 4th of May from 12–15, staff from the district administration are on site at the playground to receive comments. The park is open and has activities during the day.
Leave your comments in our digital survey at the latest on June 2.
After on the 4th of June Hägersten-Älvsjö district administration compiles three proposals for a new playground based on the opinions received.
In autumn 2024, you have the opportunity to vote on the proposals. Stay tuned for dates!
The winning proposal will be presented in the winter.
Refurbishment of the playground will begin in the spring of 2025.

This is Lugnet’s playground

Lugnet’s playground is located in the valley of Västertorpsparken and was last equipped in 2004. The playground has a manned park playground and a splash pad. The area to be upgraded currently consists of a small children’s play area with a sandbox and rocking animals.

There is a climbing frame, an asphalt ball field and a larger gravel field for spontaneous activities. Next to the playground there is, among other things, a ball field, a skating rink, a cable car and a barbecue area. In winter there is a toboggan run and ice skating on the washed ball field.

Nearby preschools often use the playground for their outdoor activities.
