The Expo Foundation writes on its website that an anti-fascist lecture in Gubbängen on Wednesday evening was “attacked by Nazis”. One of the speakers was the activist and writer Mathias Wåg:
– They were determined and went after me. I got a few punches, but nothing that will give any but. I hope we complete the meeting, says Wåg to Expo.
The police are on the scene with multiple resources. An ambulance and rescue services have also been called. Two have been taken to hospital, according to Sos Alarm. Shortly before 8 p.m., all ambulances had left the scene.
– Right now the legal situation is assault, says police spokesperson Nadya Norton.
According to the Expo, masked attackers allegedly used physical violence against visitors. Defense spray must have been used, among other things. The premises must also have been vandalised.
The Left Party in Farsta confirms in a post that their event was attacked.
“Tonight, our meeting about anti-fascism at moment:teater in Gubbängen was attacked by fascists who threw smoke bombs into the venue,” the party writes on Facebook.
