For Felicia Nordkvist, spring is hard, even though she thinks it helps to take medicine.
Felicia has been allergic to pollen since the age of 17 and she gets very tired from the allergy, her eyes itch and her nose and lips swell. Something she already notices.
– It started quite early this year, but then it disappeared and now it’s starting to come back, she says.
Could be an allergy boom
Even licensed pharmacist Sofia Caro in Västerås notices that spring is on its way.
– More and more customers are coming in who want to buy allergy products or who have allergies, she says.
At the same time, she believes that there were significantly more last year at this time of year and that it is probably because it was so cold. Now the risk is that the pollen allergies will hit hard when the heat returns.
– There could be a small boom, we’ll see, she says.
