– Absolutely fantastically beautiful, what creativity. They have thought outside the box and come up with ideas that we adults may not have, says Mona Lidén, responsible for Härnösand’s municipal playgrounds.
Technichus led the work with the children, who used popsicle sticks, toilet rolls, straws and lots of paint to bring their ideas to life. The cooperation is based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and children’s right to be heard in matters that concern them.
– After all, it is the children who will use the playground and know best what will be good.
This upcoming place is not called a play park or playground but a play top. The difference is that a playtop is based on the idea of creating a more open and free play park that should inspire more imagination and free play and use more natural materials instead of ready-made play equipment.
– Lövudden is a natural area, so we think that the idea of a playground will fit perfectly there, says Matildha Lindström, also responsible for Härnösand’s municipal playgrounds.
The students’ models will be presented on Thursday 25 April at the Sambiblioteket, floor 4, and will then be available approximately one month ahead on floor 1.5 at the Sambiblioteket, the area where daily newspapers and magazines used to be.
