You don’t need a black belt in trend scouting to predict where Hisingen’s hottest trend may be on the way to emerging this summer. Clarion The Pier’s “Rooftop Bar” offers an incredible weatherproof panoramic view of Gothenburg’s inner city and harbor in an almost unbeatable environment for the city center.

The stairs up from restaurant Fei at the top of Clarion The Pier at Lundbystrand lead to a wow experience for the visitor. The roof terrace, which has now been transformed into a rooftop bar, offers fantastic views both to the south with the river and central Gothenburg, to the east towards Frihamnen and the industrial area and to the west towards newly built skyscrapers that coexist with Götaverken’s old preserved cranes.
Here, the “Rooftop Bar” opens for its new season today (April 25) where dishes and snacks are served.
— We are so happy to finally open up our rooftop again for the season! A meeting place where we welcome both hotel guests and Gothenburg citizens to experience a wonderful moment with the unique view over the entire Gothenburg skyline. Now for the second year, we want to continue to take a position as an obvious option for everyone at Hisingen for a drink in the sun, says hotel director Josefine Gudmundson.
There will be ten weeks with a set of opening hours and then the rooftop party will continue just in time for the industrial holiday with parties on the roof seven days a week during the height of summer. When the doors open in time for payday today, it is Thursday-Saturday from afternoon to “late” that applies, before similar opening hours (they open at 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. depending on the day of the week) are extended to all days of the week.
The hotel magnate Petter Stordalens new hotel on Norra Älvstranden is located between SVT/Sveriges Radio’s Kanalhuset and the new ferry terminal built at Lundbystrand – a golden location to attract visitors from both sides of the river:
— From with the 3rd of May and the inauguration of the new ferry terminal a stone’s throw from the hotel, it will also be even easier to get to us, which we hope will result in more people coming over to experience Lindholmen, says Josefine Gudmundson.
New for this season is our new AW concept Burgers & Beer where every Thursday they offer a “bang price on burgers, beer and fries”. On the regular rooftop menu, burgers, veggie burgers, club sandwiches, shrimp salad, pizza and a little more will come together. Clarion suggests its two other restaurants for those who fancy something bigger: Living Room (the lobby restaurant) or on the Restaurant Fei floor under the Rooftop.
Tips for the “ultimate” restaurant experience at Hisingen
At Fei cooks one handpicked and award-winning chef team from China sharing dishes from three of China’s eight cuisines.
— To get the ultimate experience, I recommend starting with a pre-drink at our Rooftop and then downstairs to enjoy a culinary journey at our Chinese restaurant Fei, says Josefine Gudmundson.
The Rooftop Bar will offer a mix of music and also have a DJ on certain days during the summer. The panoramic view of central Gothenburg is “weatherproof” with glass walls, roof and heater and has a capacity for 149 people. The menu will change during the summer season, but among the premiere night’s cocktails we will find things like: a non-alcoholic one Strawberry & Lychee, Watermelon & Mint (Blanco tequila, lime, mint, watermelon) and Rhubarb & Ginger (Rhubarb & Ginger Cordial, White Rum, Lime).
