On Kungstorget and Linnégatan, the queue often winds along the house facades on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Those who are not on time have to wait for a table at the popular brunch restaurant Brunchoteket. Now the chain is opening a restaurant also in Hisingen – which will serve brunch seven days a week!
The announcement came on social media, where the brunches are a phenomenon not only at Brunchoteket, but in general. The popular restaurant chain with two brunch spots in Linnéstaden and inside the moat recently announced to its followers: We are going to Hisingen.
— We will open in the corner premises at Lindholmsallén 22A. The hope is that we will open in November if everything goes as planned. The opening hours are so far approximate, but the idea is that it will be between 8-19, but it is not completely decided yet, says Pinar Demirtas, who runs the Brunchoteket.
Why is it Hisingen? Well, Brunchoteker explains that they want to expand their business to new areas in Gothenburg and reach a wider audience.
— Hisingen is a part of Gothenburg with a growing population and an increasing demand for different food and drink experiences. So we hope that this will attract both the local Hisings residents as well as visitors from other parts of the city, says Pinar Demirtas.
The address where they will move in is at the bottom of it newly built Riksbyggen quarter which is located between Götaverksgatan and the Hawaiian pokébowl restaurant Poh-Keh, which HelaHisingen.se previously told about in connection with their opening in Lindholmsallén a few years ago.
The menu will be (almost) the same as in other restaurants
The menu will be the same as other Brunchoteks, however, Lindholmen is a district for many businesses and schools, which means a large and diverse customer base during the week who have limited time to eat, therefore they will also focus on dishes that can be prepared faster, but without thumbing on quality and Brunchteket’s niche, points out Pinar Demirtas.
