A low pressure from the Mediterranean Sea is on its way towards Sweden, says Expressen.

With that comes heat of over 20 degrees in large parts of the country with an emphasis on Götaland and Svealand, according to the forecast from Storm whose meteorologist Per Holmberg believe that the heat record on April 9 in Malmö of 21.1 degrees is now threatened.

“I think we’ll beat that on Monday,” he says to the newspaper, which writes that Spanish heat is approaching Sweden.

The low pressure is said to be coming in from the Atlantic and the Iberian Peninsula.

It’s not a day too early. April has been bitterly cold and colder than normal for the month.

The heat creeps up in Sweden tomorrow, Friday

But now the cold has to give way to the heat, which is expected to start stealthily with sun in Götaland and Svealand already on Friday.

After that comes even warmer air, over 20 degrees, according to Per Holmberg.

SMHI predicts in a fresh forecast from today, Thursday, that warm air will start to find its way into the country from southern Sweden this weekend.

Götaland can get closer to 20 degrees, reads SMHI’s forecast, which is somewhat more cautious than the weather institute Storms.

For all sun worshippers, it may be appropriate to warn of a passage of fronts with rain and clouds, which may be a consequence of the warm air according to the SMHI competitor Klart, which speaks of temporary heat at the beginning of May but then cooler air again and colder than normal.
