The accident occurred at 05.45 in the direction of Stockholm, near the Kjula traffic area.
Pictures from the scene show the car standing in the roadside. It is unclear if anyone was injured.
Eskilstuna-Kuriren writes that this bit of E20 is notorious when it comes to undercooling and slipping.
Initially, the road was completely closed in one direction, causing long queues. Since 06.30, one lane is open again.
The emergency services have left the scene and the car is awaiting recovery.
Snow warning
Before Friday, SMHI issued a yellow warning for snow that applies to large parts of eastern Svealand.
According to the photographer Pontus Stenberg on the spot, it is mud lines on the road that cause it, and at 07:00 it is still snowing in the area.
Despite that, the rescue service has had a quiet morning.
– With the weather, we thought it would be worse, but people seem to have taken it easy with their summer tires, says Daniel Kaissidis, officer on duty at the rescue service.
