There has been an expected reception in Sweden for the film Stormskärs Maja, both in terms of reviews and the number of cinemagoers, says producer Thomas Forsström.
The film premiered in Sweden a week ago and so far approximately 8,500 have seen the film in cinemas. Stormskär’s Maja is shown in over 100 cinemas in Sweden and Thomas Forsström believes that the film still attracts many visitors.
– I think we attract more cinemagoers than both Aki Kaurismäkis Falling leaves, which had 55,000 visitors, and the film adaptation of Tove Jansson, which had a total of 17,000 visitors, he says.
