For many years, Tyresö residents have had three Walborg celebrations to choose from, but this year there will be only two. The crow’s celebration at Alby outdoor park is cancelled.
It’s time to sing and burn out the long winter and officially welcome spring to Tyresö. This year there will be two celebrations to choose from, one in Fornuddsparken and one at Ahlstorp.
In Fornuddsparken, Trollbäcken’s scout association arranges its traditional, big celebration between 6-10 p.m. New for this year is that there will be a sing-along after the bonfire is lit.
– We try to come up with something new every year so that the visitors have a good time and feel a sense of community. In addition to the slightly crazy fire show, we thought we’d try singing together this year. Immediately after the fire is lit by the youngest scouts, there will be a spring song with everyone who can join in, says Sanna Sonander, chairman of Trollbäcken’s scout corps.

She says that the usual things will also be offered, such as lotteries, flea markets, fishing ponds, sales of food and cotton candy.
At 18.30 the fire show starts and at 20 the fire is lit.
All surplus goes to the scout corps.
A canceled celebration
At Ahlstorp, Tyresö Hembygdsförening arranges a family-friendly Walborg celebration from 7 p.m. There is coffee and home-baked goods for sale and sausages for grilling. At 20:15, Tyresökören sings spring and the bonfire is lit.
But there will be no celebration at Alby open air garden this year.

– We have done everything we could, but due to circumstances beyond our control, unfortunately there will be no Walborg for us this year, says Morgan Svensson, head of office for Korpen Tyresö, which usually organizes the celebration.

It’s happening: Älta scout corps invites you to a Walborg celebration with lotteries and a fishing pond. The fire is lit at 19.30.
Rudan’s farm, Handen
When: 6:30 p.m.–10 p.m.
It’s happening: Handen’s scout corps organizes Walborg with a fire show, cafe, cotton candy, fish pond and lottery. The fire is lit at 8:15 p.m.
