Most Stockholmers have probably noticed that it was cold in April. But for residents around Grantorp in Flemingsberg, it has been particularly noticeable. Huge Bostäder is renovating over 300 apartments in the area and has therefore turned off the heating to the apartments. The tenants who froze have been able to contact the property owner and have been able to borrow a heating element, but Oscar Johansson still thinks that the temperature at home affects the family.
– My daughter sleeps in double pajamas because it is 17 degrees in the bedroom. I suspect that it affects her sleep because she has been waking up extra early in the mornings, says Oscar Johansson.
Cut the heating pipes
Huge Bostäder is a municipal property company in Huddinge. According to Anders Sundqvist, communications manager, Huge has cut the heating pipes during the renovation of the properties.
– As we have cut the heating pipes, we cannot reconnect the heat, it is gone. But those tenants who are struggling can contact us and they can borrow heating elements, says Anders Sundqvist, communications manager at Huge Bostäder.
