On Friday during the Summer Meet on July 4–6, 200 cars will show themselves in all their glory to all the interested people who have gathered along Sjöhagsvägen and in the city to see nice cars.
The organizer of the Summer Meet, Klas Brink, says that it is really fun that it is happening again.
– That it gets to live again is really fun, above all for the people of the Western Alps and of course for those who are part of the fine car cruising. We want the whole town to live, for it to be a real folk festival.
Varos Cruising will be responsible for the fine car cruising in collaboration with Västerås Summer Meet and the city of Västerås, but Klas says that he will take a large part in the arrangement around the fine car cruising.
– We will probably do a large part of the work. But at least now we have received some kind of funding and it is not a huge effort for us to organize the fine car cruise when we have done it so many times before.
He says that it is the usual cruising that is so incredibly difficult to get in Västerås.
– The requirements here are completely different to those in other cities. Last year the police wanted to crush us and make sure the cars couldn’t gather anywhere, but at least now things are going in the right direction.
The fine car cruise starts on Friday 5 July at 17:00 at Johannisberg airfield.
