Hot bridge between Råtorp and Färjestad

I wonder what was thought when the colander was mounted on the Färjestadsbron. There is no space between the plates, so even now at five degrees warm and sunny, they bulge 2-3 centimeters in some places, with a great risk of tripping if someone wants to change sides during the walk. After all, the plate will be extremely hot for small dog paws to walk on when the sun is shining. Seems like the construction is neither well thought out nor tested.

Good or terrible in the region?

Psychiatry in Värmland is in free fall. At the same time, director of health and medical care Lena Gjevert, despite protests from the doctors, gives her support to area manager Roger O Nilsson. “I see that he is working well,” it says to read in the NWT.

Considering the serious problems that prevail in healthcare in general and in psychiatry in particular, there is cause for concern about how Lena Gjevert defines the word “good” … What is described is rather appalling. Yes, the exact opposite of good. Who is responsible?

The lake municipality of Karlstad without a sea dock

Why is waterborne outdoor life not accepted by Karlstad? Within the municipality of Karlstad there are thousands of boats, in Vänern there are tens of thousands of boats, add to that all the boat tourism that is in Vänern. The municipality would like to profile itself as a lake municipality. But now you are going exactly the other way.

Boating is a waterborne outdoor life that is of great importance to many. In order to take advantage of boating, you must be able to procure fuel for the boat engine. Going to a gas station in town and filling up in cans, and then filling the engine’s tank with a funnel and can is not something we boat owners stand behind, mainly for environmental reasons and the risk of fire. On March 20, the S-controlled majority in Karlstad decides to close the marina on Kanikenäset, which is right next to one of Vänern’s largest boat clubs and close to the municipality’s guest harbor. The reason for the decision is that they did not come to an agreement with the lessee, as the landlord was sentenced for, among other things, environmental reasons. Not only that, they say that waterborne outdoor life is not a priority.

If the municipality is to continue marketing itself as a lake municipality, it must meet the criteria for that.

Christmas lights hang at three quarters

Passed Våxnäs center the other day. Sunken, very rubbish and the Christmas lights hung at three quarters. It’s the month of May in a few days. Is there a plan to change?

Healthcare lacks maintenance

Owned a car that I only filled up and drove. No oil changes or service at all. It worked for about four years, then the engine died. No problem, buy a new car. That’s roughly how maintenance seems to work at the Region, drive until it collapses or build new (New CSK). The maintenance has been under criticism for a long time! Bad brakes and no money, just change the pads on the left rear.

Want support in time

The living allowance should be in your account on the 25th, but if you have another bank, it always takes 24 hours for the transfer. For those who are barely making it and are on welfare, it can be very important to get it on time as there are often rent warnings/debts and other things that MUST be paid on time. If the 25th is a Friday, it will be paid out on the Monday after, which could mean that someone with a warning might not have been able to pay the rent on time and become homeless.

Travel center, strange answers from politicians?

In NWT on Wednesday, April 24, municipal politicians Monika Bubholz, Lina Larhult and Robert Halvarsson respond to a submitter who wonders how the municipality can miscalculate half a billion? Many people wonder that. The answer given is that the project has not become 515 million more expensive, but that these are costs that have not been calculated and therefore have not been included in the municipality’s budget. So if the cost is not calculated, it does not exist, and in that case why do you refrain from calculating everything within the municipality’s budget? For me, it is a given that all costs must be known before a decision on implementation is made. I guess 515 million is equivalent to about 1,000 pre-school teachers for a year.

Is it too difficult?

Fix Postnord’s mailboxes

Maybe it’s time for Postnord to further increase the postage so that you can afford to repair broken mailboxes? When repairing this mailbox, you can also lower the box at ICA by a few decimetres. That box is supposed to be for motorists who should be able to put letters in, without having to get out of the car. Unfortunately, most motorists have to get out of their cars, because they cannot reach the mailbox.

Same day closings

“It couldn’t be solved,” says school director Maria Kjellström, about the great chaos that awaits when all schools have their graduations on the same day. It would have been easy to solve if all primary schools had been allowed to have their graduation on Wednesday, June 5. What’s the point of coming back to school for a short closing ceremony on Friday, after being off on Thursday?

Rent increase hits hard

The ceiling for the maximum rent on, among other things, LSS housing and security housing in Karlstad municipality will be raised by 34 percent. I am reacting to the fact that the client manager Per Söderberg, according to an article in NWT, does not think that the difference in the net cost will be very large. The rent must be increased by SEK 1,900. For many, the net cost will be approximately SEK 600, after rent allowance. Residents in service apartments and group housing according to LSS have an income of approximately SEK 11,000 after tax. I think it is a strong increase.

Speeding on Sundsta

Sundsta torg has been converted into a pedestrian area, and the idea behind this is probably good, but it was done far too soon. It will certainly be functional when the area is fully built, but now it feels very unjustified to drive 7 kilometers an hour (which 99 percent of vehicle drivers do not do). In addition, there are no signs about when the area ends as it should. Does the area apply to the next intersection or?

You are just waiting for the police to establish a speed control there, then many will lose their driving licences. Those of us who keep the right speed today are often overtaken by both cars, mopeds and cyclists. No, turn the streets into city streets and build a crosswalk until all the houses are finished.

For corks and corks

Buy and use polygrip pliers. Can be used for both milk packaging and many of Systembolaget’s and soft drink manufacturers’ bottles. There are also aids for opening cans.

If several people are to use, for example, a milk container (families with children, restaurants), you don’t have to look for the cork if it is not loose. Twist the cap so that the attachment is not in the way when pouring.

Bus to Arlanda, competition?

Why don’t Flixbus and Bus4you (Vy) compete at Arlanda? Have they settled between themselves that Flix runs Stockholm C while Vy runs to Arlanda? Flix will start serving Arlanda from Örebro 13 times a day for SEK 179, one wonders why the line doesn’t start in Karlstad? We have to pay another SEK 190 from here with Vy, SEK 369 is the cheapest trip from Karlstad.

Are people that stupid?

Have both listened to the radio and read entries in the newspaper regarding these new corks. I cannot understand the problem at all, as I myself experience the corks as very positive. I find it much easier to both open and close with this cork. Then it’s milk packaging I’m talking about. Soft drinks are not as easy. When closing, press and twist a little! Closed!

Crowded worse at Färjestad

It has not escaped anyone, how the traffic in Karlstad crawls forward when people finish work. It is being built and packed together with ten twelve-storey buildings everywhere, the latest being the eight houses by the river at Färjestad which are in focus. The logistics of narrow roads, in an old residential area like Färjestad, cannot swallow more traffic. One suggestion is that those who are going to buy new condominiums or rent undertake not to acquire a car in the household in order to enter into a rental agreement or purchase contract. A car-free residential area where no one in the household either owns or rents a car. With all the planned areas in Färjestad’s “new areas”, it will not work on the roads that exist today. Eight new houses, how many more cars are there? The narrow Färjestadsvägen with narrow roads down to the river worked in the fifties, not in future insanity projects. Public transport kills itself with ever-higher fees and less frequent traffic and canceled trips all year round at times.

Motorboats spoil the environment

In NWT, you can read how incomparably bad and environmentally repulsive it is now when you can no longer refuel your boat at the sea dock on Kanikenäset Karlstad. Great if it becomes difficult to use motorboats! It’s totally reprehensible to go on the lake with fossil fuels just for fun. This really needs to change. There is absolutely no sensible reason to go pleasure boating with motorboats that pollute the waters of lakes. Consider that we need water for much more important things, such as drinking water and so on. So until we have electric boats, we can row, paddle or sail.

How much should we suppress?

People are exposed to changes in life that they find uncomfortable, then it is easiest to repress it all. Remember when a woman died and one of her children called the funeral home and asked them to put her in an urn grove. The children didn’t even meet around the kitchen table.

Today, many elderly people experience how much interest their inheritance has from children and grandchildren. We cannot suppress this. The only consolation in that case is that it will soon be their turn.

Every person leaves a void behind them and whoever represses this will have a hard time in life. You can never get rid of your conscience. What is it then that makes us choose the easiest path in certain situations? Remember in the 70s when it became fashionable not to marry. Was it the guys’ reluctance to dress up at some point that was the reason? If so, they should be ashamed. Yes, not because the clothes mean everything. But changing the usual clothes can brighten the life of both the wearer and those around them. A little variety doesn’t hurt, and repressing change doesn’t help anyone.
