Sweden sends Archer to Ukraine

Sweden is to send the Archer artillery system to Ukraine.

Combat vehicles 90 and anti-tank robots are also included in a new support package.

The government today decided on Sweden’s tenth military support package for Ukraine. It consists of three parts.

Sweden is to send 50 combat vehicles 90 and the anti-tank robot NLAW to Ukraine.

The government has also decided to give the Swedish Armed Forces the task of preparing the transfer of the Archer artillery system to the war-torn country.

Archer is an artillery system that can be moved quickly on wheels, fired quickly and has great accuracy. It has long been high on the Ukrainian wish list.

The package also includes that Sweden and Ukraine must cooperate on the procurement of defense equipment, which among other things means that Ukraine can buy weapons faster.
