Another avoidable death – this time a 10-year-old girl who fell ten meters from a roof at a school in Svedala, Scania.
The accident is defined as an unforeseen accident, which it was not because, according to what appeared in the media, it was a known “sport” among students to get up and run on the roof of the school. It was probably only a matter of time before what happened now would happen.
The municipality’s head of education tells TT that the municipality “can do an investigation and “check” [sic] if there is something the municipality needs to do in the future to avoid it”
“Do ahead”? “Should have done” and “will do” should instead have been responsible comments from the head of education, given that the phenomenon of students running on school roofs was well known and not something new.
But as always, no one is held accountable, despite the fact that high-tech knowledge is hardly needed to remove the danger in this case.
Re-introduce civil service liability (which was abolished in 1974) so that those who are in charge also take it!
