Many young students
at several universities in the United States
protesting the war in Gaza.
They do not want the United States
shall give money to Israel
who are fighting in Gaza.

There has been a lot of trouble
at the universities.

Several universities
have called the police
which has taken hold
many who protest.
Most have since
have been set free.

– It is a scandal
that the university lets
police arrest students
who study here.

That’s what student Byul Yoon says
at New York University.

The protests at universities
started already last autumn.
But lately
have the protests become bigger.

At Columbia University in New York
the usual lessons have been stopped
because it’s so noisy.
The lessons are on the internet instead.
The school’s managers have decided that.

Some teachers have shown their support
for those who protest.
They think that the students
have the right to express their opinion.

Israel is a country
where many Jews live.
Some of them in the US
who protest the war
are Jewish students.

But there are also Jewish students
who have said they no longer
feel safe in the schools.

They think some people
who protest
defends the group Hamas
who rules in Gaza.
Several countries in the world
says Hamas are terrorists.
