Spooked, galloping horses raced through large swathes of central London during rush hour on Wednesday morning, after throwing off their riders during a military exercise.
The horses are believed to have been spooked by construction work near Hyde Park, where the seven crews were practicing for a military parade.
Five of the horses are said to have then galloped through the city in a panic and are reported to have run into both cars and buses. Pictures and video clips show a white horse covered in blood.
Four people, including three of the soldiers who were thrown from the horses, were injured and taken to hospital. No one has life-threatening injuries. The horses were captured on a highway after a couple of hours of hunting, and have been taken to a veterinarian to be examined and treated.
