Several media are reporting on the attack on the political meeting, this after Expo themselves reported on the matter first.
The attack occurred at the Moment theater in Gubbängen, where the Left Party and the Green Party were the organizers of a conversation. During the evening, the leader of the Left Party, Nooshi Dadgostar, visited Gubbängen.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) writes to SVT that an “attack on a democratic meeting is an attack on our entire democracy” and further writes that:
“I have reached out to Nooshi Dadgostar and expressed my deepest support. This type of reprehensible act has no place in our free and open society.”

Participating in the meeting that was attacked was the Left Party member of parliament Samuel Gonzales Westling, who in a comment on the spot immediately after the incident told Expressen that the meeting would be resumed soon.
– It is precisely for this reason that we have to carry out this type of meeting, precisely because people are exposed to racism and are affected by fascism in their everyday lives, he said and continued:
– We will talk about how we solve the problems we face in society, which arise from the fact that we currently have an order that is driven by racism. So the political agenda is driven by racism and they try to implement things in society that harm people in their everyday life.

– These are ordinary leftist members who organized a meeting for the equal value of all people and who have been violently attacked, she says.
