After a few days of rain, sleet and northerly wind, milder weather is now expected. There is hope for real early summer temperatures.
– There are many indications that noticeably milder air will start to find its way in from the south over the country from Sunday, says Sofia Söderberg, meteorologist at SMHI.
The mild air also looks set to linger over the next week and also spread north, according to Sofia Söderberg. There is hope for a mild Valborg, which falls on Tuesday.
Söderberg does not want to speculate on how hot it can get.
– Currently, the spread in the forecast material is far too large. If I look at Stockholm on Monday, it can be anywhere from 10 to 18 degrees as the highest during the day. That it will be milder is clear, she says.
But before the mild weather takes hold, continued unsettled weather is expected. During Thursday and Friday, mainly the eastern parts of Svealand and south-eastern Norrland will be affected by a precipitation area with both rain and sleet.
– There is a bit of northerly wind also in connection with that, which means that during the day we don’t get so high in terms of temperature.
In the other parts of the country, changing or variable cloudiness continues with local rain or snow showers.
– In the south it is between five and ten plus degrees and in the north maybe around zero to five plus degrees.
