During the autumn, Crown Princess Victoria begins the special officer training (SOFU). The aim is for her to learn more about tactics, military science and military strategy.
In the past, the Crown Princess has gone through various forms of military training and learned the basics of the Armed Forces’ work as a preparation for the role of head of state when she formally becomes the supreme commander of the Armed Forces. She has, among other things, completed the basic training of the Armed Forces and also other courses at the Norwegian Defense Academy.
The Crown Princess has previously also studied political science at Stockholm University and peace and conflict studies at Uppsala University. She has also studied at the diplomatic program at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and studied history and French.
