Scores of NHL-deserving players have already accepted World Cup play.
Now comes the next good news for Tre Kronor.
The trio of Samuel Ersson, Isac Lundeström and Fabian Zetterlund are ready for play.
Yesterday, a total of five new NHL names were ready for play.
Now the list of players from the world’s best ice hockey league in Tre Kronor has become even longer.
Three new names have been added in goalkeeper Samuel Ersson (Philadelphia Flyers), center Isac Lundeström (Anaheim Ducks) and forward Fabian Zetterlund (San José Sharks).
In total, there are now three goalkeepers, four defenders and six forwards ready to play in the tournament from the NHL.
The national team’s answer about the squad
– We can register 25 players for the WC. The process continues and continues until we have registered 25 players, then it is finished. If it is immediately when the WC starts or if we wait, it is impossible to say. Where it lands, the future will tell, said national team manager Anders Lundberg to Sporbladet yesterday.
With two weeks until the start of the tournament, a couple of players still have a chance to make the squad as the Czech hockey games are played before the tournament, but there are a few more names close to being eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs.
