The police report states that the suspected crimes took place at the footballer’s home address. The police arrived at the address late on a Friday evening and found three taped dead mice on the apartment door.
It was a teammate of the player who discovered the mice and alerted the police, after first contacting the team manager of the Allsvenskan club, according to information to DN.
The police write in the report that “the act has been intended to violate the plaintiff’s peace in a noticeable way.” A preliminary investigation was opened but dropped after two weeks.
– There was not enough evidence, so we decided to close the investigation. There was no camera in the house either, says the preliminary investigation leader, who investigates sports-related crime, to DN.
It appears in the report also that the police are investigating another report of illegal threats. The reported threats must have been directed against the player digitally after a match.
– The threats must have been made on social media and we have also closed that investigation, says the head of the preliminary investigation.
The police have also drawn up a report on animal cruelty and write that an unknown perpetrator has “deliberately subjected three animals to suffering through abuse and then attached these dead to a door with tape.”
The player, his club and agent have declined to comment on the incident.
