Mika Zibanejad scores as Rangers win

Mika Zibanejad’s power play goal with just over five minutes left in the first period was his first in this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs and his 17th in the 60 playoff games he has played in his NHL career.

Zibanejad was also credited with an assist as K’Andre Miller scored the Rangers’ fourth goal.

Rangers’ Swedish back Erik Gustafsson was also able to enjoy his first playoff points in the team’s win. He was noted for assists both when Vincent Trocheck equalized to 1–1 in the first period and when Jack Roslovic scored the 3–2 goal in the second period.

The New York Rangers now lead the best-of-seven series against Washington 2-0.
