On Instagram, she herself wrote an emotional post:
“I will not ride in the yellow suit again next season. I need to change things at this stage of my career. I’ve had a tough few weeks with a lot of thoughts considering that the Olympics are only two years away. But I always follow my gut and my heart to know what to do next. I want to thank my sponsors, my coaches, my teammates and my physio Jac. I have cherished every moment with you, but it is time for something new”, she writes.
But a greater disappointment then shines through when she speaks out in the media about the breakup and the communication surrounding it.
