Swedish left-back Ludwig Augustinsson played on Wednesday when Anderlecht beat Cercle Brügge 3-0 at home in the Belgian league. At the same time, a tragedy occurred in connection with the match.
Anderlecht announces that a supporter, who was in the stands, fell ill during the first half and was therefore taken to hospital. Shortly after the end of the match, the club was informed that the supporter had died.
“RSC Anderlecht is in deep mourning. Our thoughts go out to the deceased supporter’s family and relatives,” the club writes on its website.

– It’s a sad evening. All our thoughts go to the victim’s family and friends. In such moments, football is irrelevant, says the coach according to HLN.
