Gais won away against Kalmar FF in the Allsvenskan

Gais defeated Kalmar 3–2 away from home.

One of the heroes of the match was Amin Boudri, who scored his first Allsvenskan goal.

Before the second half, Gais Jonas Lindberg stepped off after feeling in the groin. Amin Boudri stepped in instead. Ten minutes later, Boudri would strike with his first Allsvenskan goal ever.

– I thought “he did well, so then someone has to come and fill his place”, says Boudri.

The 19-year-old midfielder took the ball into the penalty area where he then fired a cannon shot from far outside and Samuel Brolin in the Kalmar goal could not do much about it and had to concede his second goal of the evening.

– I have been practicing these shots at home in Hässelby and when the boys were watching I felt that “it needs to hit now”.

Gais thus went into the lead. A lead they could then build on.

Yes, because in the 87th minute, William Milovanovic took down and passed on a ball to Alexander Ahl Holmström. Ahl Holmström struck with a wide side just after the penalty spot and 3–1 to Gais was a fact.

– We are an offensive team, says Boudri.

The visitors even then looked to be heading for an away victory, but five additional minutes would create drama in the match. In the 91st minute, a reduction came from the home team’s Lars Sætra, who headed the ball into the Gais goal.

Although Kalmar created tension in the match, Gais managed to resist and thus took all three points from the Guldfågeln Arena. With the win, Gais is now in fourth place in the table with nine points.
