WC silver for the Swedish cheerleading ladies

Six years ago, the Swedish women’s national cheerleading team took bronze at the WC. A year later, the sport was elected to the National Sports Confederation and became a full member of the Swedish sports family.

The next big success came last night in Orlando, Florida. There, the national team managed to win a WC silver medal.

At the end of the championship, the premier classes were decided, which are the highest classes for ladies and mixed national teams. After an exciting final, it was clear that Sweden’s women’s national team had to step up to second highest on the podium.

The USA won the WC gold, Finland took the bronze.

All coaches and members of the Swedish women’s national team are natives of Gothenburg and the association Gothenburg Cheer One.
