THQ Nordic has revealed that their reboot of the classic “Alone in the Dark” will be released on October 25.

“Alone in the Dark” which was first released in 1992 is considered the godfather to the survival horror games and has influenced games such as “Resident Evil” and “Silent Hill”. The new version of “Alone in the Dark” is developed by Swedish Pieces Interactive, which gave the original story a modern touch. Publishers THQ Nordic have previously revealed that the new version will also take place outside the mansion in places such as cemeteries, swamps and other creepy environments.

David Harbor from “Stranger Things” and Jodie Comer from “Killing Eve” will portray the main characters Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. If you can’t wait until October, the playable prologue is available now on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Alone in the Dark will be released in a standard version and a Deluxe version that offers additional bonus content. If you pre-order, you’ll also get access to a DLC that lets you play with the characters from the 31-year-old original.
