I have a problem that is driving me crazy.
The mouse pointer doesn’t click where I hold the mouse pointer…. are you there? I see it correctly, ie. if I hold the mouse pointer HERE and double-clicking, the previous word is highlighted, i.e. mouse pointer. Same thing everywhere, it clicks about 5mm to the left where the mouse pointer itself is displayed.
I just plugged my laptop into a docking station where everything is plugged in, including the screen.
Tried changing mouse, same problem.
There is no logic anywhere… I have closed the lid of the laptop and only show image on the external screen. If in display settings I choose to “duplicate these displays” the resolution drops to 1920 from 2560 and the mouse pointer works correctly.
If under monitor settings I select “Show only on 2” (the external monitor)(as I want it) the resolution jumps back to 2560, however if I lower the resolution to 1920 on the external monitor the mouse pointer is still off… .
Tried changing the display cable, mouse, installing drivers, I even reinstalled windows… what the hell are they going on??
