Android Authority reports that Google will soon make the AI features of the Google Maps app available to anyone who wants to try them out. Lines of code in the latest beta version of Google Maps reveal that you’ll soon be able to try out the AI features via Google’s AI service Labs, where you can try out a range of AI tools that haven’t quite launched yet.

The AI functions for Google Maps were launched earlier this year, but were then only available to a few tourist guides in San Francisco in the US. With the AI features, you can specify your searches in the map app, you can go deeper than just searching for nearby restaurants or museums. The two examples Google highlighted were a search for activities for a rainy day, as well as a search for places with vintage vibes in San Francisco.
