--

Dating is increasingly complex these days, and dating app Hinge will launch a new feature that lets users filter out unwanted words or phrases.

Hinge latest feature being launched today it is called “Hidden Words” and with the function you can filter words, phrases and emojis among your comments. This is so you don’t see dirty and tired comments that are otherwise quite common. Harassment is common today online and also in dating apps, so this can be a step to at least avoid seeing it going on.

At Hinge, we believe in creating an environment where everyone can feel safe and respected, which is an important part of building genuine connections,” says Jeff Dunn, Hinge’s VP, Trust & Safety. “With the launch of Hidden Words, we live what we teach, namely to become the most trusted dating app. This feature is all about empowering daters to define their boundaries, increasing their confidence in the process. With Hidden Words, we hope that users will feel more confident when exploring potential relationships and thereby have a safer and more rewarding dating experience.

It works as if you can create a list of words, phrases or emojis that you do not want to see among your incoming comments and likes and a comment contains one of the words or phrases, they will not be seen at all but moved to a separate category where you can see them or delete them without to open them.
