Just got Thunderbird and have some trouble finding it.

I just got Thunderbird as Microsoft no longer lets me use E-mail in an easy way. I’ve used Thunderbird for a while but it’s not quite the same.

There are two things I need help with:’

1. Is it possible to see what you have sent in the inbox also when you have an email conversation back and forth. I can’t really get it to work the way I want. All previous mail before Thunderbird does not come as a conversation in the inbox on the left. They have become a conversation when you read them, but they are not shown with the email being sent and received, it just appears as an email.

2. when i was trying to see if i could change #1 i accidentally backed up all the messages and also removed the icon i use to “sort” and get them apart again How do I get it back now and get rid of it accumulating on weekdays?
