Israel’s military (IDF) claims to have shelled 40 “terrorist targets” in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, it is stated that the attacks have been directed against, among other things, warehouses and weapons arsenals belonging to the Islamist Shia militia Hezbollah.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also claims that the country’s military has killed half of Hezbollah’s commanders in southern Lebanon.
– The other half are hiding and abandoning southern Lebanon to the IDF’s efforts, says Gallant according to the Times of Israel.
Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have shelled each other in the troubled border area almost daily in recent months. On Tuesday, a woman and a 12-year-old girl were said to have been killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in Hanine in southern Lebanon.
