Hamas is now releasing a video of one of the people taken hostage on October 7.
It is a video of Hersh Goldberg-Polin who was badly injured in the terrorist attack.
The White House reportedly received the video on Monday, two days before it was made public.
Over 1,200 people were killed by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7. Around 200 people were also taken hostage by the terrorist organization.
One of the people kidnapped was Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23.
He is a citizen of both Israel and the United States and was seriously injured in the terrorist attack on the music festival.
In a video from the October 7 attack, he is seen with a serious injury. His hand and part of his arm are completely off in the film as he is led away by men from Hamas.
Got my arm blown off
According to a testimony from the attack, he allegedly helped a woman throw hand grenades out of a bunker. His arm is said to have been blown off by a grenade that detonated.
This is stated by the American television channel CNN and refers to one of many sources from the music festival.
In the video now released by Hamas, Hersh Goldberg-Polin sits in a chair facing the camera. His hair is snagged. He starts by identifying himself and then gives his parents’ dates of birth.
The video also shows that his arm is severed from the elbow down.
Goldberg-Polin says he has been a prisoner for “almost 200 days”, indicating that the video was recorded recently as it was 200 days since the terrorist attack on Tuesday.
In the video, he criticizes the Israeli government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, just like other hostages in Hamas propaganda films.

First sign of life
American and Israeli media that report on the video write that Goldberg-Polin is most certainly forced to read out basically everything he says on the film.
He names and criticizes several Israeli ministers.
According to CNN, the White House must have received the footage on Monday, two days before Hamas made it public.
According to sources for the television channel, the American federal police FBI should be involved in the case. A special department is said to have analyzed the video to try to locate the location where it was recorded.
The footage is the first evidence that Hersh Goldberg-Polin is alive, according to CNN.
