The daughter of Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer has been killed in an Israeli attack west of Gaza City, CNN reports.

According to relatives, her husband and two-month-old son were also killed.

Witnesses claim that the house in question was hit by three Israeli robots during Friday’s attack, the media company states.

Shaima Refaat Alareer was thus killed four months after her father was killed in a similar attack. Refaat Alareer’s brother, sister and four nieces were also killed in the attack in December.

“This is your grandson Abd al-Rahman, whom I imagined you carrying for a long time, but I never imagined that I would lose you before you could even see him,” the daughter wrote on her father’s Facebook page two months ago.

Refaat Alareer was a distinguished poet, literature professor and activist. After his death, the poem “If I Must Die” has been translated into more than 40 languages.
