The departure comes after just over eight years as CEO of Electrolux. Jonas Samuelsson will also leave his position on the board.
“I have had the privilege of serving as president and CEO for what will be nine years, so I felt that the beginning of next year is a good time to hand over to a successor who can put all his energy into leading this fine company into in the next phase in the coming years,” says Jonas Samuelson.
The board of Electrolux will now begin a process to find a successor.
“The board and I have full respect and understanding for Jonas’ decision to leave his position on January 1, 2025 after successfully leading the group for many years,” says Torbjörn Lööf, chairman of the board.
“The early announcement gives the board sufficient time to conduct a proper recruitment process to find a successor. In the meantime, I look forward to working with Jonas, his management team and the board to deliver on our goals for 2024,” continues Lööf.
Electrolux will present its interim report at 08.00 today.
